Wilf Perreault: In the Alley opens to the public on Saturday at the MacKenzie Art Gallery.
Be sure to head over to the gallery to check out this retrospective of one of Saskatchewan’s most celebrated painters. The exhibition runs until Jan. 4.
The opening reception for the new exhibition is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26. Admission is free. There’s a cash bar.
On Saturday at 2 p.m., the gallery will feature a curator and artist conversation. Hear what head curator Timothy Long and Perreault have to say. Admission is free. A reception and book signing will follow.
I love how Perreault captures light in the windows of his paintings. He sometimes jokes that he uses special paint to achieve the effect. The truth is it’s all in the technique of this very gifted local artist.l Awesome stuff!
