Three local artists have joined their creative forces for My Big Fat Prairie Chicken Art Show, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., April 28 at St. Michael’s Retreat House in Lumsden.
The artists include:
– Painter Cindy Newkirk, who says: “In my art I try to express things which I find beautiful, and my first standard of beautiful is that it promotes unity of humankind. I have experimented with a lot of different styles and the experiment is not over.”
– Patrice Wagman, who explains that she wants to share the face of this landscape with anyone curious enough to really ‘look’. “The breath of the prairie wind and the unique fingerprint of the sky are deep sources of inspiration for me.”
– Pat Jones, who paints with friends and with artist Audrey Eutennier. “I enjoy painting landscapes and animals, but many scenes in nature inspire me,” she says.
